Teckla received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy in 1975 from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She has over 37 years of licensed experience practicing physical therapy and helped co-found Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Specialists, Inc. with her husband, Doug. Teckla is a certified practitioner in kinesio taping, which she uses to help patients in various stages of recovery. Teckla spends her free time babysitting her granddaughter and is a voracious reader. She has also passed on her love of crafting and creative needlework to her daughters and daughter-in-law and loves to travel.
